Sight-reading exercises
  • One page (or more) per day
  • Look at the exercise for about 30 seconds to a minute. Key signature, time signature, the notes and counting. If time allows, dynamics and articulations (staccato, legato, etc.)
  • Then play at a tempo you can manage comfortably, and there is no need to stop to fix anything. If you make a little mistake, just keep going.
